The Delphi choirs were in high demand during the holidays. The Lower School Choir performed for the City of Campbell's employee holiday luncheon, singing cheery Christmas favorites. Two 5th grade students, Valerie Yarve and Faith Tran, also sang a special duet to great applause. The City kindly gave each student a small gift after their performance and thanked them for brightening the event with song.
The local chapter of the AARP, which meets monthly at the community center, invited Delphi students back to the December meeting to entertain the group with holiday song. Students in grades 4 - 8, led by Music Director Melissa Agrillo, sang in two-part harmony and performed a number of songs such as "The First Noel". Vice Mayor Liz Gibbons was in attendance at the meeting and thanked the students for coming to sing for the group.
Following their performance, the students gave each AARP member a flower tied with a ribbon as a gift and stayed to chat a little with the audience. The flowers were donated by Petite Petal Co., a local Campbell flower shop. AARP members were also invited to attend the free holiday musical performance coming up on December 16 at the Orchard City Banquet Hall. The students will be performing a musical version of The Polar Express.
